Red Fox

This is an attempt to tie a spinner at the back end of the fly so that it may rotate around the hook shank's axis, and not foul.

The barrel swivel is tied in line with the shank. A piece of 30# monofilament is run through the swivel eye, and is then overlaid with thread and cement, so that the swivel will rotate but can not pivot and foul on the shank.

The idea of putting the spinner on the fly is not new. Left is a variation of Henry Cowen's Coyote fly.
